Homecoming: Jack Sims Returns to Southend
Southend United is thrilled to welcome back goalkeeper Jack Sims as he returns to the club after spending time at Sutton United. The 27-year-old, who had his formative years with the Shrimpers, brings a wealth of experience and skills to the team.
Sims was part of Southend's youth academy before moving on to Blackpool at the age of 16. His career has seen him play for Welling United and Braintree Town, where he played an instrumental role in helping the club secure promotion through the National League South play-offs in 2024.
New Chapter: A One-Year Contract with Options
The goalkeeper has signed a one-year contract with Southend United, effective immediately. The club holds an option to extend his deal for another season, allowing both parties to reassess their situation at the end of the term. This move marks a significant return for Sims, who is eager to contribute to the team's success and continue his journey in professional football.
