Southend United have launched a new warm-up range for the 2026/27 season, a collaboration with the Southend City Jam festival and technical partner Erreà. The club announced the collection on Friday with the players set to wear it ahead of their next fixture. This launch comes as the team sits second in the National League, just one point behind leaders Boreham Wood after a perfect start of three wins from three games.
The collection consists of two main items: a quarter-zip warm-up top and a warm-up t-shirt. Both pieces feature a distinctive pattern directly inspired by the street art and graffiti culture celebrated at the Southend City Jam festival. Erreà's designers studied the annual three-day event, where artists transform the city into an open-air gallery, to create the bespoke artwork. A Shrimp logo is incorporated into the design on the chest, tying the look back to the club's identity.
The t-shirt uses an advanced nanotech material, the same fabric technology featured in the club's third kit. This material is engineered to help water bead up and roll away from the surface, aiming to prevent moisture from soaking in. The quarter-zip top features the same City Jam-inspired pattern as the t-shirt, creating a cohesive team look.
Both the t-shirt and the quarter-zip are available for purchase immediately, both online and in the Club Shop at Roots Hall. The launch has inspired a fresh look for the retail space itself, with the same vibrant artwork from the range now painted across the Victoria Road entrance. This brings the festival's energy directly to the stadium, making Roots Hall feel even more like the club's home.
To celebrate the release, the club is running a competition. The prize is a signed warm-up shirt and quarter-zip from striker Harry Cardwell. Fans who wish to enter must opt into the club's email marketing preferences. An email with competition details will be sent out on Saturday afternoon.
The new gear arrives as Southend United build serious early-season momentum. Their league standing of second place is built on a solid record of 7 goals scored and only 2 conceded, giving them a +5 goal difference. The team's recent form of three consecutive wins provides a positive backdrop for any new club initiative.
This collaboration goes beyond just kit. It actively connects the football club with a major cultural event in its city, reinforcing the 'Our Club. Our City. Our Home' message. For fans, it offers a chance to wear the same innovative, locally-inspired gear as the players while supporting a squad currently in the thick of a promising title race. The full squad list for the 2026/27 campaign is available online.
